Courtyard Lodge Delux Room 6

Positive: Room was very clean and comfortable Negative: No advance warning that restaurant was closed on Tuesday night.

Negative: Mattress wasn’t that comfortable

Positive: I liked the setting of the enclosed courtyard and the room was a good size Negative: Room wasn't cleaned to a good standard under bedside tables, filler on the walls hadn't been rubbed down and painted.. the room needs some tlc in places, the room takes ages to heat up with the electric heater but whats frightening is the electric heater plug gets very hot so didn't feel safe to leave on overnight so woke up very cold in the room and the radiators don't work, this resulted in an uncomfortable stay, the outside areas need so painting and cleaning as it was messy and some clutter in places.

horrific Positive: Absolutely nothing. Waste of money. Negative: Absolutely freezing. Had a heater that did not work. Bed is just springs. There were stains and marks all over walls and bed. The property has blamed me for these. They were there when I walked in the room and I photographed them then and there. No hot water. Screws sticking out in the bathroom. The property manager is rude and will not issue a refund even though we left and went home due to being so cold and uncomfortable. Please avoid this property!! Absolute shit hole.

comfortable excellent food friendly helpful staff Positive: very cosy loved the food and location nice bar and restaurant and accomodation all close together. lovely character building Negative: needs double glazing windows as very cold. better heating required in games room and bar
